Donna's Flower Garden

These are the pics of the flower garden at my daughter's house. We had a lot of fun that day.

I have not posted in a while, it seems harder to find time to sit down to the computer since the weather has been so nice. I've been working in my flower beds and the veg gardens. We are also busy planting cotton , and it's now time to start planting peanuts. Soybeans will be planted after the peanuts. I've put up a lot of cauliflower, snow peas & broccoli in the freezer. We are eating cabbage also. We went to the beach this weekend and cooked a lot of veggies for my husband's brother and his sister and their spouses , everyone ate to much. I'm going to post some pic's of some of my flowers and of the new spring garden. I also will post some pics of the flower garden my daugther & I made at her home. Hope you enjoy!

I guess the Disney trip got me off track with the blogging. We came home on a Thursday and it had rained all week. We got 13 inches of rain. The garden survived except the watermelons ,they were drowned out. The snow peas have been turning out really well. I have put several bags in the freezer. We dug our first potatoes on Easter Sunday, they were great. The other vegetables are also doing well. I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow. I almost forgot to mention that we planted the spring garden on Sat., okra, purple hull peas, white peas, speckled butterbeans, green butterbeans, snap beans, eggplants, squash & sunflowers.. The sunflowers are food for the birds. Everyone has to eat don't they? Till tomorrow............

Rain ,Rain, go away

Seven inches of rain through Sat. I am still fighting beetles in the garden or should I say my husband is since I'm at Disney for a few days. I'm with my daughter and grandson and my other two grandsons are also here too. They met us at our resort for supper tonight and the kids played in the arcade for awhile. I will be back thursday and will post pictures of my pink amarillis. I did pick snow peas and brocolli on Sunday from the garden and they were great in a stirfry. This is a picture of my Boston , his name is Picker, I hope Pa Pa ( my husband) is frying his eggs for him for supper.
